Hey, traveler! Thanks for choosing GetupAfrica LLC for your epic journey—whether it’s chasing lions on a Serengeti safari, climbing Kilimanjaro, or sipping wine in South Africa’s vineyards. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are the rules for using our website (http://getupafrica.com/) and booking our awesome tours. They’re here to make sure everyone’s on the same page, so please read ‘em carefully before you book. By using our site or services, you’re agreeing to these Terms. If you don’t agree, no worries—just don’t use the site. Let’s get started!

1. Who We Are
GetupAfrica LLC is a travel platform based at 6200 Grand River Blvd E, Leeds, AL 35094, US. We connect you with local guides for unique African experiences, from Zanzibar beaches to Maasai village visits. These Terms apply to all interactions with our website, bookings, and services.
2. Using Our Website
Access: You’re welcome to browse our site and book tours, but you gotta be at least 18 or have a parent’s permission if you’re younger.
Your Responsibilities: Use our site for legit purposes only—no hacking, spamming, or anything sketchy. Keep your account details (like passwords) safe and don’t share ‘em.
Content: Our site’s content (images, tour descriptions, blogs) is ours or our partners’. Don’t copy or use it without asking us first.
Accuracy: We do our best to keep info on the site accurate, but things like tour prices or availability can change. We’ll let you know if something’s off before your booking’s final.
3. Booking Tours
How It Works: When you book a tour (safari, trek, wine tour, etc.), you’re entering a contract with GetupAfrica LLC. We’ll connect you with our local guides or tour operators to make it happen.
Payments: You’ll pay through our secure online system. Prices are in USD unless we say otherwise. Full payment or a deposit (depends on the tour) is needed to confirm your spot.
Confirmation: Once your payment’s processed, we’ll send you a confirmation with all the deets—check it carefully! If something’s wrong, let us know ASAP.
Changes: Need to tweak your booking? Contact us, and we’ll do our best, but changes depend on availability and may have fees (see Section 5).
4. Cancellations and Refunds
By You: If you need to cancel, let us know in writing (email’s fine). Refunds depend on the tour and how far out you cancel:
More than 60 days before: Full refund, minus a small processing fee.
30–60 days before: 50% refund, unless the tour’s non-refundable (we’ll tell you upfront).
Less than 30 days: No refunds, sorry—but we’ll try to work with you!
By Us: If we have to cancel (like for weather or safety reasons), we’ll give you a full refund or offer another tour. We’re not responsible for extra costs like flights, tho.
No-Shows: If you don’t show up for your tour, we can’t refund you—our guides are ready and waiting!
5. Changes to Tours
Sometimes, stuff happens—weather, local conditions, or other surprises. We might need to change your tour’s itinerary, timing, or guide. We’ll do our best to keep it awesome and let you know right away. If the change is major and you’re not happy, contact us to discuss options (like a partial refund or rescheduling).
6. Your Responsibilities as a Traveler
Travel Docs: You’re responsible for having valid passports, visas, and vaccinations for your destination. Check with embassies or travel advisories—we can’t do this for you.
Behavior: Be respectful to guides, locals, and other travelers. If you cause trouble (like damaging property or breaking local laws), you’re on your own, and we may cancel your tour without a refund.
Health and Safety: Some tours (like Kilimanjaro treks) are physically demanding. Make sure you’re fit enough and let us know about any medical conditions before booking.
7. Our Liability
We work hard to make your trip amazing, but travel’s unpredictable, especially in Africa’s wild spots. Here’s the deal:
Not Our Fault: We’re not liable for stuff beyond our control—like natural disasters, political issues, or flight delays.
Risks: Tours like safaris or treks come with risks (wild animals, rough terrain). You join at your own risk, and we recommend travel insurance.
Third Parties: Our local guides and partners are carefully chosen, but we’re not responsible for their actions if something goes wrong.
Limits: If something’s our fault, our liability is limited to the cost of your tour. We’re not covering extra costs like missed flights or lost luggage.
8. Intellectual Property
All the cool stuff on our site—logos, tour descriptions, blog posts, and that “Wake Up. Pack Light. Get Up Africa!” vibe—is owned by GetupAfrica LLC. You can’t use it for commercial stuff without our okay. Feel free to share our blog posts socially, though—just give us credit!
9. Disputes and Governing Law
If you’ve got a problem, let’s talk first—contact us, and we’ll try to sort it out. If we can’t, these Terms are governed by the laws of Alabama, USA. Any disputes will be handled in courts in Leeds, AL. Let’s hope it never comes to that, tho!
10. Changes to These Terms
We might update these Terms to keep up with laws or improve our services. If we make big changes, we’ll post a notice on our site or email you. Check back here to stay in the loop.
